Udate: The RAP Project

After much prayer and reflection, we have decided to not pursue the RAP project any further. For those of you who are bottom line people, the reason for this decision, in a nutshell, is we have concluded that the core problems facing America today cannot be solved politically. Thank you for your interest and support on this project. Please continue to pray for our nation. We are in need of much prayer.

For those interested in a more detailed explanation, if you recall, our vision was to go across the country, neighborhood by neighborhood and organize the "silent majority" into a nationwide, grass roots, political action network. While this is very doable with today's technology, it would require an extraordinary, long-term commitment by a lot of dedicated people. That being the case, we asked ourselves, what is the probability of our being able to recapture the nation after the network was in place. Sadly, we concluded that even a well oiled network would not be enough to take back America.

Yes, eventually, we would be able to elect new faces at all levels of government throughout the land, but it would be just a matter of time before they, too, like the Republican class of 94, would be corrupted and compromised, taking us right back to where we are today or worse. That's when we realized the problem is spiritual, not political. In short, America has lost her soul. Without a soul, we are only an empty shell of a nation.

As a matter of fact, The Bible clearly says, the only reason we don't destroy ourselves is because of God's daily mercy. However, it also says that if we reject God he will not force himself on us. The Good Book goes on to say that righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach. Once a nation has rejected God, he graciously gets out of the way and allows us to be ourselves. We are now experiencing the inevitable consequences of the loss of that daily protection. Without the hand of God protecting us from ourselves, things are destined to get worse no matter what we do politically, because the problem is within us.

The founding fathers understood the importance of this spiritual component of life and used that knowledge to parlay this nation into one of the most powerful and prosperous countries in the history of the world. They understood that honoring and respecting God has nothing to do with religion. They realized collective respect for God is the key to surviving and thriving as a nation. That's why  "God" is so prominently exalted in all of their writings and on so many public forums from the past. As long as we stuck to that plan as a people, America thrived and prospered as a nation. Today, even though many Americans still believe in God, most of us live as if there is no God. This conflict is reflected in the blue/red state divide. Unfortunately, history has proven, time and time again, a house divided against itself cannot stand.

While one can disagree with the Bible, what cannot be denied is the fact that everything the Bible said would happen if a nation rejects God, is happening, exactly as he said it would. Of course, the Bible also says, if the people of a nation decide to pray, humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways, then God will hear their prayers and heal the land. Otherwise, as long as we continue on the path we have taken, America will continue to reap the consequences we are experiencing as a nation and a people. Sadly, this is only the beginning. The worst is yet to come.

That is the long version of how we came to our decision to abandon the RAP project. Based on that belief, we feel it would be futile to to expend so much time and energy on a political solution, at this time, while the real cause of our problems continues to fester unabated. In the end, we will see who was right, The Bible or the "wisdom" of the day. Again, thank you for your willingness to support this project.

Walmart Gives In to Gay Chamber of Commerce Intimidation

Below is a link to and a text copy of a story that is currently posted on CNSnews.com. In summary, Walmart has decided to become politically correct regarding the homosexual issue. I can't imagine Sam Walton's reaction. Anyway, as usual, the company representative is very arrogant about the conservative response. In a nutshell, he says there's nothing we can do about it. He says as long as Walmart is as popular as it is, and as long as customers keep spending their money there, Walmart doesn't care how conservatives feel about Walmart supporting the homosexual's cause.

Once the RAP is up and running, corporate leaders at Walmart and other companies would soon change their tune. Once this decision became public, all we would have to do is get word out to the network that Walmart says they don't care how we feel as long as we keep shopping there. Once everybody got the word, we wouldn't have to tell anybody what to do. I think the silent majority would figure it out. My guess is that it would only be a matter of days before Walmart changed their tune, as soon as they realized people all over the nation were boycotting the chain. Information is power.

I see this happening on a regular basis. Mobilizing the silent majority will work, people. What do you think???

Wal-Mart's 'Gay' Partnership Risks Conservative 'Rollback'
By Randy Hall
CNSNews.com Staff Writer/Editor
August 29, 2006

(CNSNews.com) - After months of criticism from union-backed groups over its employee pay and health care practices, Wal-Mart now faces a potential "rollback" of support from conservatives because of the retail giant's partnership with a homosexual business coalition.

"I don't think this is something that will sell on Main Street America, where most Wal-Mart stores are located," said Tony Perkins, president of the conservative Family Research Council (FRC). "I don't think cheap prices on goods from China will be enough to stop a rollback in their customer base if they choose to go down this aisle."

Joining the FRC in criticizing Wal-Mart's new alliance with the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) is Americans for Truth, which describes itself as "the only national organization devoted exclusively to exposing and countering the homosexual activist agenda."

"Wal-Mart has always been a favorite of God-fearing Middle American customers who hold traditional family values," said Peter LaBarbera, the group's founder and president. "I'm very surprised that Wal-Mart would now bite the hand that feeds it and thumb its nose at those very customers.

"It seems to me that Wal-Mart should reconsider its unsavory alliance with these extremist homosexual activists in today's heated and polarizing culture war," LaBarbera added.

However, Bob McAdam, vice president of corporate affairs with Wal-Mart, told Cybercast News Service that the world's largest retail company joined the NGLCC "just like we have joined a number of other groups representing all parts of the spectrum of our customers" - including women's organizations and minority groups.

The conflict began on Aug. 21, when the NGLCC issued a news release announcing "a partnership with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., as part of the company's ongoing commitment to advancing diversity among all of its associate, supplier and customer bases."

As part of that agreement, Wal-Mart will pay $25,000 to NGLCC - "the largest LGBT [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender] business development and economic advocacy organization in the world" - and has agreed to sponsor two of NGLCC's annual conferences.

"We are honored to have Wal-Mart's support of the NGLCC," said the group's co-founder and president, Justin Nelson. "Our partnership will not only provide more opportunities for the Chamber, but the business community as a whole."

When asked by reporters why Wal-Mart had not issued a statement on the new partnership, Nelson said that it's "normal procedure" for the NGLCC to handle such announcements.

Since then, conservative organizations have become increasingly vocal in their criticism of the new partnership.

Robert Knight, director of the Culture and Family Institute at Concerned Women for America, said that by joining forces with the NGLCC, Wal-Mart is "validating the idea that homosexual activists have the right to shake down corporations out of fear of being called bigots."

Perkins called the alliance "an odd new domestic partnership." He's asking FRC's supporters to download a flyer from the group's website that asks why the retail chain is supporting homosexual activism and place a copy of it at the customer service desk of the nearest Wal-Mart.

As Cybercast News Service previously reported, the retail giant has been no stranger to controversy over the past year when union-sponsored groups such as WakeUpWal-Mart.com and Wal-Mart Watch have charged the corporation with needing to meet "higher expectations" and being unsafe for shoppers.

McAdam said he expects the popularity of the company - which has about 3,900 outlets in the United States alone - will trump any criticism from either side of the political aisle, just as when Wal-Mart added homosexuals to its non-discrimination policy two years ago.

"I think our attraction to Americans in general speaks for itself, and that's why comments from either side of the political spectrum or whatever philosophical debate are less important than the daily approval we see from our customers," McAdam said.

"Wal-Mart continues to serve the vast majority of Americans regardless of their political persuasion or their personal beliefs," McAdam noted. "Last year, about 85 percent of Americans bought something at Wal-Mart. We have more than 138 million customers a week at Wal-Mart.

"With numbers of that size, we're dealing with just about everybody, and to that extent, we want to be as welcoming as we can to every part of the spectrum, and we will continue to be broad in our outreach," he added. "We welcome people of all persuasions and all philosophies."

Not all homosexual activists are pleased with the new arrangement, though.

"Our community is a smart community, and we can see a shameless marketing opportunity when it comes," Jeremy Bishop, program director of the "Pride at Work" subsidiary of the AFL-CIO, told Cox Newspapers.

"For us, it's a matter of social and economic justice," Bishop added, "and Wal-Mart has a long record of not treating its employees - gay or straight - with equity and dignity."

Original RAP Statement of Purpose

Why This Project  Is  Necessary

The following information is a summary of the genesis, foundational premises and philosophical emphasis of the Reclaim America Project (RAP).

Not all of the founding fathers were religious people. Yet, they believed in God to the point that our entire system of government was built around that belief. They also believed in limited federal government and states rights. These concepts have been loosely termed, “traditional values.” However one feels about “God” there is no dispute that this country thrived and prospered heartily under this philosophy for almost two hundred years. No other country in history has experienced such phenomenal success in such a relatively short period of time.

The people in America, who now are trying to take over and change the way we live, are secularists. As such, they do not believe in God and are doing everything in their power to erase any and all references to God from public view. Furthermore, unlike the founding fathers, they believe government is the center of life in America and should be used to address and remedy every problem in life. Accordingly, they insist that government officials have a right to take our money by force of law and use it as they see fit. As a rule, these people believe they know what is best for all others and that they have some inherent right to dictate how the rest of us should live. This is an over simplification of the issues, of course, but it gets to the heart of the matter in clear terms that makes it easy for each citizen to decide where he or she stands.

This small but determined group of Americans really thinks it has a better idea than the founding fathers. Consistent with that belief, they have taken over and are currently using this country’s political, legal, educational and media systems to transform our nation into their socialist, godless vision of America. Even though these people are totally out of step with the majority of mainstream Americans, the power and influence they wield is way out of proportion to their numbers. That’s because they are incredibly organized, frighteningly persistent and have received only token resistance to their take over to date. This deadly combination has proved to be potently effective for them. That is why in just a few short decades, they have been able to take control of America’s four major centers of influence.

When people with traditional values controlled this nation’s institutions, dissent was allowed. The best ideas were allowed to hold sway. Secularists were free to discuss their beliefs openly and without restriction. When they realized they could not win the hearts and minds of the people on the merits of their arguments, they took over by deceit and subterfuge. Now that they are in charge, they have shut the door on any opinion or position but theirs. This new regime will not retreat without a fight. They love power more than anything. And now that they finally have that control, we should expect them to do almost anything to try and hold on to it if challenged. The tenaciousness and reckless disregard for others they have exhibited when threatened recently is nothing compared to what we should expect to see if they ever really have to fight to keep their power. In short, the United States of America as we know it is currently under siege from within.

Project Reclaim America was founded in June 2004 in response to this threat to our heritage. The project is one couple’s effort to turn their personal anger and frustration into constructive action. To “quit complaining and do something” to stop “them” from sabotaging our country. They concluded that the best way to take back the nation is to beat the assailants at their own game: To fight fire with fire. The Left worked within the system to take over this country. Those of us who believe in traditional values will have to use the same system to take the nation back from them.

Project Reclaim America is a nonpartisan political action network. It is based on the presumption that belief in traditional American values is not a democratic or republican issue. Millions of other Americans of all political persuasion share the same beliefs and frustrations about the present state of affairs, as does the couple that organized this project. Also, while the founders certainly believe in God, this project is by no means religious in nature. Individuals of all faiths and/or no faith at all, are welcome and encouraged to participate in this effort to reclaim our nation.

The leftist secularists' blatant power grab can continue only if we keep sitting back and do nothing. If we do continue to stand idly by and do nothing, eventually we will no longer have a peaceful means of recapturing our nation. Eventually, people will become frustrated enough to begin taking matters into their own hands, with vigilante actions or worse. This will only give the left an excuse for martial law and eventually a totalitarian state. Then it will be too late. That’s why, now is the time to move.

Welcome To The RAP

Project Reclaim America was conceived in June 2004, to address the secular threat to our heritage. If those of us, who believe in traditional values, don't organize and take the nation back, it will not happen. My goal is to coordinate a national effort to help those Americans who share this vision, to develop an action plan to reclaim our nation. I believe the best way to achieve this objective, is through an old fashioned, grass roots, political action network.

As you know, belief in traditional American values is not a democrat, republican or religious issue. Therefore, while I certainly believe in God, this project is by no means religious in nature. Individuals of all faiths and/or no faith at all, as well as those of all political persuasions, are welcome and encouraged to participate in this endeavor.

If you are like me, tired of all the endless talk, hand wringing and anguish that is having absolutely no effect on the left and would like to finally "DO SOMETHING EFFECTIVE" please let me know. I would like to connect with like minded people who are ready to do more than just talk. We can share ideas, compare notes and then put our heads together and see what we come up with. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
